Get to Know Your Team: * Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT: Responsibilities Patient Care Technician works alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting by improving patient satisfaction by influencing patient throughput. Qualifications Job Requirements: * Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital setting * Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures * BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate * Cardiac Credentialing International Certification Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
