Work is generally performed under the immediate direction of a supervisor, but many types of work assigned may be very routine and repetitive in nature and after once learned can be carried on without difficulty and only under general supervision. DUTIES/FUNCTIONS Learns and operates equipment such as push and riding mowers, string trimmers, edgers Maintains well sites and reservoirs free of trash Mowing and weed eating at the well sites and reservoirs Painting well house buildings Use mops, brooms, paintbrushes and rollers and work with cleaning fluids, paints, cleaning agents or similar solutions using only normal protective equipment. Work cooperatively with other City employees and the general public. Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others. Duties as assigned EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS There is no experience or training requirement for this entry-level position. Must be 16 years of age or older.WORK ENVIRONMENT Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. Lift arms above shoulder level. Travel across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces. Move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less). Move light objects (less than 20 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet). Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.WORK DURATION AND SCHEDULE Duration of season is April-September Work hours Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm; Friday 7am-1pm
