Position Summary Responsible for providing dental care to all patients they are qualified to treat. Supervise all dental staff. Precept dental students when they are on rotation at LCHC. Principal Duties and Responsibilities* 1. Provide dental care to all patients that they are qualified to treat. 2. Supervise all dental staff. 3. Ensure that all dental equipment is functioning properly. 4. Oversee the activities of any dental students rotating at LCHC. 5. Complete CE as required to maintain licensure. 6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director. 7. Schedule staff for Ogden and Homan sites. Required Skills or Abilities* Mental Requirements: Requires a high level of concentration and high level of attention intermittently. Generally, the approach to tasks may be consistent, but the number of steps required and/or the number of variables involved creates the possibility of errors unless the incumbent pays close attention. Physical Requirements: Activity: Patient Care Approximate % of Time: 80% Comments: Patient care requires sharp mental acuity, concentration and physical dexterity. Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration Education: DDS or DMD degree Licenses or Certifications: Board Certification (or eligible) in area of specialty training and maintenance of certification; State licensure to practice in the state of Illinois, CPR Certified.
