A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in IV/Infusion at a healthcare facility in the greater Atlanta area. The assignment begins in late April or early May with flexible weekday shifts Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities: Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal regulations. Monitor patient medication usage to ensure adherence and identify any overuse. Maintain confidential and accurate patient and pharmacy records. Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer medication-related questions. Provide expert consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications including proper storage, dosage, and drug interactions. Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following established protocols. Supervise pharmacy support staff such as technicians and clerks. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory efficiently. Identify and communicate drug-related problems to physicians and healthcare providers. Oversee and maintain the sterile compounding area, ensuring compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards. Ensure staff competency in sterile compounding procedures, including cleaning, garbing, testing, and training. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Must hold a valid Georgia pharmacy license. Strong preference for candidates with IV/Infusion pharmacy experience. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
