DescriptionJob Description: SeekingaFull Time Med/Surg Department leadership position available in our Clarion hospital facility with great communication and leadership skills as we continue to grow. Accepts the responsibility and accountability for Med/Surg department operations, including staffing, processes, procedures and delivery of quality patient care. The leader involves and empowers staff to meet strategic, department and individual performance goals through coaching/mentoring staff. Collaborates effectively with other leaders and departments and ensures continuity of care and processes between Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics. Remains competent in providing bedside nursing cares. Ability to analyze, understand rules and regulations as they apply to Iowa Specialty Hospital operations and remains knowledgeable regarding hospital accreditation requirements for department, participating in annual accreditation surveys. Has active presence on Belmond Med/Surg campus routinely and as needed, and works cohesively with Belmond Med/Surg Department Leader and staff to ensure appropriate allocation of resources, consistent processes between facilities, and to build relationships in both locations. 3-5 years of experience in leadership preferred. Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and AVADE certifications required (Or obtained within 6 months from hire). Active current Iowa Registered Nursing License required, BSN or MSN preferred.
