Job Description

Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a skilled and dedicated Reconstruction Technician to join our team. As a Reconstruction Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties damaged by fire, water, storms, or other disasters. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction and reconstruction tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. Attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: * Execute all aspects of property reconstruction following fire, water, storm, or other disaster-related damage. * Perform demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring installation, and finishing work to restore properties to their pre-loss condition. * Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to understand project scope, timelines, and priorities. * Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of reconstruction work. * Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the reconstruction process. * Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner. * Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors involved in the reconstruction process. * Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. * Monitor and track project progress, documenting work performed, materials used, and any changes or challenges encountered. * Identify and report any issues or concerns that may impact the quality or progress of the reconstruction work. * Uphold high-quality standards and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results to clients. * Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining the proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials. * Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner. * Continuously update and expand technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities. * Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment. * May assist in estimating and bidding on reconstruction projects as needed. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in construction or a related field is a plus. * Proven experience in construction, reconstruction, or restoration work. * Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. * Proficient in performing various construction tasks, such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, and flooring. * Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors. * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
