A dynamic MRI technologist role is available for an experienced professional ready to advance their career through a travel opportunity. This position involves working primarily with heavy neuro patients including those with spine injuries, strokes, and head trauma, as well as supporting student athletes. The role requires acute inpatient care experience and offers the chance to work with advanced imaging equipment in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Minimum 1 year acute care experience as an MRI technologist Certification requirements: BLS, ARRT (MR) or AMRIT, and relevant state licensure (KY license unless grandfathered) Experience with Siemens Sola and Verio MRI systems preferred Proficiency with Cerner EMR system highly desired Strong patient care skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including radiologists available 24/7 Location: This assignment is based near Louisville, KY, a city known for its vibrant cultural scene and rich history. Louisville offers a mix of urban excitement and southern charm, with numerous parks, museums, and culinary delights. While local candidates within 50 miles of Louisville are not eligible, this is an excellent opportunity for a travel MRI technologist to experience a new community while contributing valuable skills. Responsibilities: Perform MRI procedures primarily on neurological and sports-related patient populations Collaborate with radiologists and other MRI techs to ensure high-quality imaging Maintain accurate patient documentation within Cerner EMR Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards Support patient care with empathy and professionalism throughout imaging procedures Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM Additional Details: No floating required Orientation typically spans two weeks in the department Free, secure parking with badge access provided Scrub color: Ceil Blue Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties are assigned based on unit needs This travel contract position offers rewarding work with a respected healthcare team in a specialized setting.
