The Outpatient Clinical Director is accountable to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. The Outpatient Clinical Director is the one who actively promotes the philosophy of the Gándara Center, and maintains a high level of commitment to the clinic and its programming.Duties and Responsibilities:Client Services Responsibilities In conjunction with the Senior Director Of Behavioral Health Services acts as the clinical specialist of the program and establishes clinical systems and standards of careProvides safe, effective and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of carePlans, organizes, and directs clinical persons served services while responsible for administrative functioning of clinical services departmentsIn conjunction with Practice Manager and Senior Director Of Behavioral Health Services, creates and adjusts work flow in all clinical and psychoeducational programmingEnsures program functions smoothly within the larger local behavioral health system by building and maintaining relationships with community partnersMonitor staffing levels and workload assignments for the therapists and activity staffMakes staff assignments and creates schedules; updates support staff when changes are madeMonitors clinician's compliance with productivity requirements and develops improvement plan when requirements are not metEnsures quality patient care; conducts treatment plan reviews as neededEnsure the use of person centered planning and monitors the effectiveness of multi-disciplinary treatment team processAssists with the recruitment, hiring and training of qualified clinical staffMay also be involved in crisis intervention and work as a liaison within communityEnsures ethical and professional conduct by clinical staffEnsure service delivery system is aligned with billing system, quality management system and behavioral health operational systems in order to insure highest quality of services and prevent agency liabilitiesAssure staff training for direct service practice that is current with best practice standards, funding and accreditation requirementsSupports Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services in championing a spirit of collaborative and open communication across all agency departments and program operations to bridge multiple sites, ensure program alignment, program efficiencies, and cross continuum of program servicesPerform other duties as assignedAdministrative Responsibilities/Record KeepingTo adhere to program and agency policies and proceduresTo attend scheduled staff meetingsTo maintain and review person served records in accordance with standard format and timetablesTo attend regular supervisory meeting with the Director of Psychological TestingTo maintain assigned financial record keeping, and submits required reports accurately and in a timely mannerTo complete time sheets and submits them accurately and in a timely mannerTo maintain job related record keeping accurately and submit reports in a timely mannerMinimum Qualifications:Completion of a Doctoral level education program (Psy.D or Ph.D)MA state licensure as MLHC, LISCW, LADCI, not required2 plus years of supervisory experienceProgram development experienceThe Gándara Mental Health Center provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
