POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the direction and supervision of the program director/team leader, the Individual Placement and Support/Supported Education Specialist (IPS) assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunities aligned with their recovery goals. Services are community-based and focused on rapid engagement rather than prolonged assessment.Salary: $40,000-$45,000Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 weekdays and 2 eveningsLocation: Joliet, ILREPORTS TO:Site SupervisorNETWORK OR DEPARTMENT:Network 9ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunitiesWillingness to be trained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support modelCoordinates with the Community Support Specialist to integrate vocational and educational goals into the treatment plan Participates in weekly team meetings and ongoing consultation with the Team Leader Provides individualized coachingCommunicates with employers or educational institutionsSupports participants in maintaining successful employment outcomesMonitors progress toward recovery goals.Maintains service records, database, and statistics.Submits documentation for services in a timely fashionEnsure that all documentation and communications align with Trinity Services' mission, values, and operational needs.Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely mannerHandle all confidential information in a professional and secure mannerOther duties as assigned SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability and knowledge of basic computer programs for service documentation and report writingTrained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support modelDemonstrated knowledge of correct procedures for Medicaid billingStrong communication skills and comfort with public speakingTeaching skills, non-judgmental personality, and empathic listening skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipmentPhysical activities that could be used include: pulling, pushing, standing, grasping, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's in Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field or current Completion of Quality Behavior Solutions (QBS) Safety Care training, CPR, and First aid (upon hire).
