Locum Tenens - Potsdam, New York, PA Gastroenterology Opening Start Date: 7/6/26 Duration: 26 weeks Shift Times: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday Coverage: Full-time Unit / Facility Information Staff on Unit: 1 Provider, 1 NP, 1 LPN, anesthesia present in each procedure Acuity Level: Adults acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems Patient Ratios: 1:14-18 Automated Medication Dispensing System: Pixys Charting / EMR: EPIC Level 1 Perinatal Center, SAFE Designated Center, Primary Stroke Center, DNV Accredited Facility Job Responsibilities Evaluate medical problems in the Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice setting Request consultation of other specialties when indicated Provide education to patients/families regarding preventive care, medical issues, and treatments Document all evaluations, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations in compliance with NCQA, The Joint Commission, state regulatory standards, and evidence-based standards of care Maintain compliance for coding and billing Refer complex/high-priority cases to collaborating physicians Provide medical and emergency interventions; prescribe and monitor medications; order and monitor emergency interventions Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Required Qualifications Board Certified PA NY State License in hand required Minimum of 3 years' recent experience AHA BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team Unit / Facility Policies Clock in/out at shift start/end Lunch Breaks: Required, 30 minutes Overtime: Must be approved Cell Phone Use: Not allowed; leave in locker Dress Code: Business casual; closed-toe/heel shoes, clean and natural hair color, conservative makeup, no artificial nails, limited jewelry What RecruitWell Provides A+ rated malpractice coverage Weekly direct deposit 24/7 dedicated recruiter support Professional onboarding and credentialing assistance Prepaid travel and lodging RecruitWell's Core Values Open communication Sense of urgency Teamwork Accountability Driven to win Higher consciousness
