Job Title: Medical Physicist - Oncology Cancer Center Location: Paris, TX (Periodic travel to Mt. Pleasant & Greenville, TX) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 (based on experience)About the Role We are seeking a Medical Physicist to join a community-based cancer center treating approximately 40 patients per day, with very active PSI and HDR programs (300+ HDR treatments annually). This position will be primarily based in Paris, TX, with periodic travel to two nearby, fully staffed centers in Mt. Pleasant and Greenville. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate within a strong regional POD network of experienced medical professionals.Team Structure 1 Radiation Oncologist 1 Chief Medical Physicist 2 Site Medical Physicists (shared across the region) 2 Dosimetrists 3 Radiation Therapists 1 CT Technologist Key Responsibilities Perform periodic evaluation of all equipment (utility, reliability, performance, lifespan, and replacement needs). Support the quality management program, including external beam radiotherapy equipment and staff procedures. Manage radiation oncology information systems (protocols, maintenance, and data storage). Handle radiation safety duties, including employee monitoring, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Lead or participate in clinical projects to enhance patient treatments and departmental processes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain best practices in cancer care delivery. Qualifications CAMPEP-Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics (required) Valid Texas Medical Board License ABZ Certification or Board Eligible Preferred: 2+ years' experience as a certified Medical Physicist Strong working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, HDR Hands-on experience with Varian Linear Accelerators Proficiency in Eclipse and Oncentra Treatment Planning Systems Experience with ARIA ROIS and Mosiaq ROIS Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skillsPreferred Technical Experience Eclipse & Oncentra TPS HDR planning & treatment ARIA ROIS & Mosiaq ROIS SBRT & SRS procedures Why Join?
