Position Summary:To provide case management support and counseling to assigned adult clients with a severe and persistent mental disorder; engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance; perform functional assessments within their expertise; provide therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions as directed; coordinate rehabilitation planning and periodic review for assigned clients who are participating in independent living skills training programs.Position Qualifications:To perform this successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's Degree in human services/health related field preferred.(2) Two years experience in the field of behavioral health or similar community service, with at least two years experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illness preferred. Other professional/responsible work experience may be substituted on a case by case basis.Valid Alaska Driver's License.Basic counseling skills and knowledge of rehabilitative services for SMI adults. Good verbal and writing communication skills.
