American Traveler is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience and NMTCB certification.Job Details• Hospital-based nuclear medicine department with 4 rooms and a dedicated PET/CT scanner,• General nuclear medicine studies performed include bone, renal, gastric emptying, GI bleed, HIDA, thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroid, and V/Q perfusion scans, as well as cardiac and PET/CT imaging,• Patient population spans adolescents through geriatrics,• Daily caseload of 15-18 patients,• 5x8 day shifts, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM,• On-call requirement of one night per week (5:30 PM - 6:30 AM Mon-Fri) and one weekend per month (24 hours Sat-Sun),• Epic EMR used; online Radiology CT training completed on unit,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required; independent, proficient practice expected,• NMTCB certification required; ARRT preferred,• Current BLS required,• VA license or Compact license required; candidates may start pending VA license with verified proof of application and an active incumbent license from another state,• License required if applicable,• Proficiency in cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, and myocardial imaging required,• IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG, and PACS skills required,• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration,• Any requested flu or COVID vaccine exemption must comply with CMS guidelines and be supported by documentation,Additional Information• Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and measuring radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using radioisotope equipment,• Duties include preparing stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculating doses to be administered by radiologists,• Seasoned travelers preferred; first-time travelers with substantial experience will be considered,• Scrub color: Pewter Grey,• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31),• COVID vaccination or a qualified exemption is required,• This is a smoke- and nicotine-free facility,• All approved RTO must be submitted upfront; no RTO requests will be approved after an offer is made
