Job Title: Sterile Supply TechnicianLocation: Syracuse, NY 13210Duration: 14 WeeksShift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Includes weekends and holidays; schedule may rotate based on department needs)Position OverviewThe Sterile Supply Technician is responsible for the safe and effective decontamination, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment used across operating rooms and clinical areas. This role ensures adherence to aseptic techniques, quality standards, and timely support for clinical teams, including urgent and emergent requests.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and traysAssemble both simple and complex surgical instrument sets with precision and accuracyOperate sterilization equipment including steam sterilizers, Steris, and Sterrad systemsConduct and document quality checks to ensure compliance with sterilization standardsMonitor and record sterilization and decontamination processesRespond promptly to urgent and emergent equipment needs from clinical staffMaintain adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniquesHandle and operate cleaning and disinfecting equipment safely and effectivelyQualificationsSuccessful completion of a nationally accredited Central Service Technician certification ORMinimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare facilityAbility to pass pre-employment health clearance requirementsSkills & Experience RequirementsMinimum 1 year of experience in the field is requiredCertification as a Central Service Technician is requiredCompletion of a nationally accredited central service technician exam is highly preferredFor more details reach atvgill@or Call / Text at 516-862-1203.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
