A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to support a community-focused retail pharmacy committed to personalized patient care. This role offers the chance to work in a locally owned setting with a moderate prescription volume of approximately 275 per day. Training will be provided on-site to ensure smooth integration with workflow and software systems. Key Responsibilities: Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with regulations Process a high volume of e-prescriptions efficiently (10+ orders per page) Counsel patients thoroughly on medication use, safety, and side effects Oversee non-sterile compounding practices as needed Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapy management Administer immunizations minimally, depending on demand Supervise technicians and manage workflow for optimal efficiency Maintain inventory control including handling product recalls Deliver excellent customer service in-person and through drive-thru and delivery operations Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations Desired Qualifications: Active Texas Pharmacist License Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail pharmacy practice Ability to adapt quickly to new pharmacy software; training provided for Computer RX Strong communication and organizational skills to handle busy volume Commitment to patient safety and regulatory adherence Schedule & Location: Per diem shifts on 6/25 and 6/26 (training days), plus 6/29, 6/30, 7/1, and 7/2 Shift hours: 8:45 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break Location: Boerne, TX (specific address provided upon hiring) This assignment is ideal for a pharmacist looking to contribute their expertise for short-term coverage in a supportive, community-oriented environment.
