Associate Staff Scientist Department: Arthritis & Clinical Immuno Location: Oklahoma City, OK START YOUR APPLICATION Position Overview and Responsibilities The Scofield lab is hiring an Associate Staff Scientist to design and conduct research experiments; prepare reports presentations and manuscripts for publication; assists with grant writing; and oversee and/or manage research projects, summarize and present results, as well as guiding/leading graduate students, postdocs, and lab staff; may manage staff. Responsibilities: * Apply principles and practices of scientific theory, research, and immunology * Formulate and test scientific hypotheses * Design and conduct research experiments * Analyze, interpret, and summarize data and experimental results * Prepare and write technical and scientific papers * Develop and write grant proposals * Communicate scientific concepts effectively in both oral and written formats * Mentor students and provide guidance to junior scientists * Direct and oversee the work of less experienced research staff Minimum Qualifications * Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics, or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent * Three years of postdoctoral research experience * Familiarity with standard lab techniques Preferred Qualifications * Experience with laboratory techniques, including but not limited to flow cytometry, RNA expression analysis, and CRISPR-Cas systems * Proficiency in analyzing large and complex datasets, including genome-wide association studies and RNA expression data OMRF Overview Founded in 1946, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is among the nations oldest, most respected independent, nonprofit biomedical research institutes.
