$66.91 PER HOURGENERAL PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this position is to protect patients of Harmons' pharmacies by ensuring they receive the correct medication for their condition and providing them information about their medications. This person will be filling and verifying prescriptions, counseling patients, consulting with other medical professionals, administering vaccines and providing exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the pharmacy is clean, sanitized, well-maintained and meets company standards of appearance.Delivers excellent customer service while assisting customers at the pharmacy counter, drive-thru and over the phoneFills and verifies prescriptionsIdentifies potential drug interactionsConsults with other medical professionals regarding prescriptionsCounsels patients about their medications, possible interactions and gives recommendations for over-the-counter medicationsAdministers immunizationsProvides information for internal and third party auditsEnters new prescriptions into the systemFiles prescription paperworkSubmits refill requests to doctors over the phone and electronicallySubmits insurance claims and inquires about insurance problemsReceives and stocks product for the pharmacyRemoves product from the shelves according to Harmons expiration date policiesCompletes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely mannerSets a professional and positive example to othersTeaches, mentors and educates pharmacist interns and pharmacy technicians to help them be successfulmembers of the teamProvides honest, direct and constant feedback to pharmacist interns and pharmacy technicians regarding their performance and areas of improvementCommunicates effectively and works closely with the Pharmacy ManagerHas reliable transportation to travel to any of Harmons' locationsEnsures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintainedMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersConsistent and daily interaction with doctor's offices and insurance companiesTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
