Private Family from Greenwich, CT Seeking a Summer Nanny for their stay in the Hamptons (Playmate Extraordinaire!) Position: Temporary Live-In Summer Nanny Schedule: TBD (flexibility required; focus on daytime fun and activity-based engagement) Salary: $30-$35 per hour, DOE (negotiable for the right candidate) Start Date: June 8, 2026 End Date: July 31, 2026 (approximately 8 weeks) Relocation: No - local candidates preferred (NY/CT area) About the Family A warm, welcoming, and fun-loving family of three based in Greenwich, CT is seeking an energetic, creative, and hands-on Summer Nanny to join them for an unforgettable summer in the Hamptons! This is a live-in position for most of the summer (with possibly one week spent in Greenwich). Their 9-year-old daughter is outgoing, imaginative, and full of personality. The family is looking for someone who can match her energy and enthusiasm-someone who truly loves engaging with children and thrives in a playful, activity-focused environment. Children: One daughter, age 9 Pets: Three friendly dogs (must love dogs!) - a Maltipoo, a Pomeranian, and an Australian Shepherd Responsibilities This role is all about FUN, FUN, FUN! No household duties-your focus is 100% on creating a magical summer experience. Plan and lead engaging daily activities tailored to a creative and active 9-year-old Be a true playmate: swim, bike ride, play tag, and explore the outdoors together Organize fun experiences like lemonade stands, arts & crafts, games, and imaginative play Encourage summer reading in a fun and positive way Actively participate in all activities-this is a hands-on, high-energy role Ensure safety at all times, especially during swimming and outdoor play Provide supportive, attentive childcare while fostering independence and confidence Ideal Candidate & Personality The ideal candidate is upbeat, playful, and genuinely loves spending time with children. They are creative, proactive, and excited to jump into activities rather than supervise from the sidelines. This person should bring camp counselor energy-enthusiastic, engaging, and full of ideas! You're the kind of person who: Can turn an ordinary day into an adventure Loves being outdoors and staying active Is imaginative, silly, and fun-but also responsible and safety-conscious Enjoys building meaningful connections with children Is confident, capable, and ready to dive into a summer of nonstop fun Requirements Prior experience as a summer nanny and/or camp counselor strongly preferred Must be a strong, confident swimmer (non-negotiable) Valid driver's license and ability to drive CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to start) Excellent references Legally authorized to work in the United States Comfortable living in a private home for the duration of the role Must love dogs French-speaking is a HUGE BONUS!
