Enters patient information, orders, and review of all claims for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to ensure timely requests. Sorts and logs incoming correspondence and provides follow-up when necessary. Maintains regular contact with patients and insurance companies for proper billing and approval. Fulfills orders, schedules deliveries, and assists in the explanation of use and provision of equipment with patients, family members; this includes regular visits to patient homes for further explanation and set-up. Maintains equipment as necessary. Responsible for processing collections, rejections of claims, and reviewing daily billing edit reports for electronic claims. Ensures insurance and work denied claims are filed accurately. Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. Minimum of two years bookkeeping experience required. Minimum of one (1) year experience DME billing experience. Medicare, Medicaid and third-party insurance billing experience. Knowledge CPT coding. Must be able to plan, organize, and meet deadlines. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to learn and become proficient in multiple software platforms including Brightree, and Microsoft Outlook and Office. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to understand process flow within the positions relating to other departmental standards. Ability to compete tasks independently in a set timeframe and work extremely well with others. Wage Depending on your work experience, you could earn a wage from $20.31 to $27.42 per hour.
