You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. No C2C or 3rd parties, please. Commissioning Coordinator IV in Houston, TX * Pay Range: $50/hr. - $57/hr. (commensurate with experience) * Contract role with hybrid work arrangement * Travel required (approximately 20-30 days per quarter) We're looking for a highly experienced Commissioning Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of commissioning and start-up activities for pipeline and gas transmission projects. This role is ideal for someone who brings both strong coordination skills and hands-on technical expertise in the field. In this position, you'll play a critical role in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for operation. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, construction, and operations while managing commissioning activities across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities: * Lead coordination of field commissioning activities across small to large-scale projects * Develop and execute commissioning and start-up plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource requirements * Perform hands-on commissioning tasks such as configuration, calibration, troubleshooting, and functional testing * Provide technical support to resolve issues identified during commissioning phases * Review engineering designs (mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation) and provide commissioning input * Oversee third-party contractors and internal technicians to ensure successful project delivery * Manage equipment handover from construction through commissioning to operations * Ensure all activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards * Track and resolve deficiencies while maintaining project timelines What You Bring: * Technical degree or diploma * 10+ years of relevant technical experience * Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, NEC, CSA, NFPA, etc.) * Hands-on experience with PLCs, instrumentation, control systems, and commissioning tools * Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and influence diverse teams and stakeholders * Solid understanding of safety practices including LOTO and electrical safety Preferred Qualifications: * Commissioning experience in the oil & gas industry * Experience with rotating and static equipment This role offers a mix of office-based work and field involvement, along with the opportunity to take ownership of commissioning activities that directly impact project success.
