Position Status: Full time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Job Information Exemption Status: Exempt A Brief Overview Licensed Psychologists are professionals trained and licensed to provide clinical psychological services to patients and their families. This includes but is not limited to assessment and evaluation, diagnostic and forensic services, treatment and discharge of outpatient mental health patients as well as referral to other psychiatric, psychological, behavioral health and medical services as appropriate. A Psychologist also provides psychological assessments and evaluations through testing, measurement and examination as defined by their licensure and doctorate level of education. The Psychologist may also function as a Consultant for individual programs and service lines to support integrity of clinical content and initiatives. Education Qualifications * Doctorate Doctoral degree from an accredited college of Clinical Psychology. Required Licenses and Certifications * Licensed Psychologist - KSBSRB Required * American Board of Professional Psychology certification is preferred. Preferred What you will do * Perform consultations on patients which includes a mental status exam, collection of relevant psychosocial history, diagnosis of psychiatric presentations, development of an appropriate individualized treatment plan (to include measurable goals, objectives and outcomes), and development of discharge plans that effectively support the patient at home or in the community. * Conducts psychological evaluations, assessments and testing. Neuropsychological testing (if assigned to work with Adult population). * The Psychologist will be familiar with the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders for the purpose of developing accurate diagnosis of the patient. In addition, the Psychologist will be familiar with and be able to prepare psychological reports, and provide the results and treatment recommendations to the providers, patients and multidisciplinary team members as requested. * The Psychologist will provide individual, family and group treatment when appropriate as requested. Treatment plans, psychological evaluations and assessments may be reviewed by the Director of Clinical Services. A high standard of practice shall be maintained at all times by the Psychologist. * The Psychologist will participate in the discharge planning when appropriate. The psychologist will accomplish this by assisting the patient in identifying appropriate treatment goals, providing evaluation, assessment and consultation, identifying reasonable timelines, providing the patient with education specific to their diagnosis and treatment and assisting the patient in developing realistic expectations concerning their treatment and prognosis. * Meet organizational and department standards regarding punctuality and attendance. * Produce timely and accurate documentation. * Meet HIPAA and corporate compliance standards. * Support overall mission and goals of Stormont Vail Behavioral Health Services.
