The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS). The faculty position is in the appointment stream, non-tenured, and the faculty member's rank may be an assistant professor or associate professor, depending on experience and qualifications. The primary responsibilities will focus entirely on clinical service and leadership skills, and will not include didactic teaching or research expectations. This position will participation in University Dental Health Services (UDHS), a private group dental practice which employs Pitt Dental Medicine faculty dentists, . We are looking for an oral surgeon to join our team of faculty provider members in providing high quality dental care for our community. This position will give the faculty member an opportunity to practice in a private practice setting and be able to diagnose and treat patients for their dental needs. The candidate will have supervision of patient care in the clinical setting as needed for the ongoing operation of the dental program.The candidate must have a DDS or DMD degree and be eligible for Board certification, or be Board certified, by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The candidate must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate license for clinical practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, have a developed or developing area of clinical excellence, and have mentoring experience. Favorable consideration will be given to those with additional training credentials, such as an MD, PhD, fellowship qualification, or other advanced degrees.
