They operate imaging equipment, position patients for accurate images, ensure patient safety, and maintain detailed records. Rad Techs follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process. Responsibilities :Operate X-Ray Machine/Take radiological imagesOperate PACs systemProcess charges and related paperwork using computer/EMR as directedClean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipmentProtect patient and other personnel from radiation hazardsCollaborate with the ordering providerClean and make minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and report equipment malfunction to Radiology Manager or designeePrepare copies of X-ray CD'S for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as requiredAssist with the transportation of patients between the examination rooms and Radiology departmentRequirementsRequirements :High School Diploma or EquivalentAssociate's degree or higher from an ARRT-approved program.At least 2 years of experience in Medical ImagingValid State License/Certification Preferred :Orthopedic or Sports Medicine: 1 year (Preferred)
