Weekend hours may vary based on operational need.Be part of something remarkableJoin the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to:PProvide advanced inpatient care for cardiothoracic transplant patientsPreop orders and postoperative for heart and lung transplant patientsParticipation in Heart Failure/Shock team protocolsSupport surgical elements of the lung and heart transplant programs (which works closely with the Advanced Pulmonary/ECMO program, Heart Failure/MCS programs)Support ECMO specialists, VAD specialistsParticipation in daily rounding, multidisciplinary rounds, review for appropriate billingClinical Management of Advanced Therapies- Impella, ECMO, LVADComplex wound management, chest tubes, pacing wires, sternal closure monitoring, participation in bedside proceduresWork at an ECMO Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center.Outpatient participation for patient work-up and continuity of carePreoperative evaluation for heart and lung transplant patients including VAD and transplant candidacyParticipate in transplant selection conferenceCoordinate care from inpatient to outpatient transplant clinicEducation:If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.Licenses and Certifications:Minimum -If Nurse Practitioner*:Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice ANDActive board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
