For more information, visit Job Description: Emmanuel College invites applications for the position of Staff Clinician/Wellness Coordinator in the College's Counseling Center. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, clinical consultation, crisis intervention, and on-call rotation coverage for the Counseling Center. In addition, this position coordinates wellness and prevention programming and initiatives for the campus community and supervises undergraduate Wellness Ambassadors. Clinical (55%) * Provide individual and/or group psychological services for undergraduate students who seek counseling during the academic year * Provide crisis intervention in weekly rotation during the business day * Serve in counselor-on-call rotation for after-hours crisis management * Provide ongoing referral assistance during the academic year * Maintain strict confidentiality for all counseling clients * Generate progress notes and appropriate documentation for all client contact * Attend weekly case consultation meetings and collaborate within the Center to serve student mental health needs * Attend weekly staff meetings to discuss departmental concerns Wellness (35%) * Serve as staff advisor to wellness-focused student groups/initiatives (ex: EmmanuWELL) including meeting weekly with student leader and supervising versee monthly programming by student leaders * Serve as co-chair of campus Health and Wellness Committee * Conduct campus-wide wellness needs assessments and analyze data to inform best practices * Create and execute psychoeducational/wellness programs for students on all domains of wellness (physical, sexual, academic, occupational, financial, spiritual, social, environmental, mental and emotional * Coordinate wellness focused programming for first year-students with appropriate campus partners * Provide training and/or informational materials to student leader groups, faculty and staff on college student mental health issues (e.g. self-injurious behavior, eating disorders, identifying and assisting distressed students) * Provide Orientation information or presentations for incoming first year and transfer students * Work to decrease stigma/increase mental health awareness across campus through department outreach programs and events * Collaborate with campus partners to address student mental health needs (e.g. * Title IX office, Residence Life, Community Engagement, etc General (10%) * Assist in College wide events (e.g. Move In, Convocation, Baccalaureate, Commencement, etc * Attend relevant professional development courses and conferences to enhance quality of care to students Requirements: Individuals must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students, and other college employees. A genuine commitment to social justice, which is consistent with the College's mission, as well as demonstrated experience and skill in working with the college population are required. Ability and willingness to accept responsibility as well as the ability to adapt to changing demands in a college setting are also necessary. Experience in higher education or another institutional setting is preferred. Required: * Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work * Current licensure in Massachusetts as LSW, LICSW, LMHC * 2-3 years counseling experience Preferred: * 3-5 years counseling experience * At least one year of professional work experience in Higher Ed * At least one year experience providing clinical support or programming to college students Additional Information: Emmanuel College values a welcoming and supportive community for all.
