Front Desk/MA Floater (Full-Time) - GYN Oncology Practice (Fairfax, VA)Our client is the premier OB/GYN network in the Greater Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region. Their GYN Oncology division, provides compassionate, comprehensive care to women facing gynecologic cancers. They are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Front Desk Floater who is customer-focused, dependable, and ready to support their clinical and administrative teams in delivering excellent patient care.This is a great opportunity to join one of the region's most respected OB/GYN practices and be part of a dynamic, collaborative healthcare team.Position OverviewThe Certified Medical Assistant / Front Desk Floater hybrid role will be approximately 80% clinical and 20% front desk, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing exceptional care to women. This role requires flexibility, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to travel to multiple practice locations.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical (Primary Duties):Assist physicians with patient care and clinical procedures.Record vital signs and obtain pertinent medical history.Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures.Clean, stock, and sterilize exam rooms and instruments.Prepare and process lab specimens; perform quality assessments.Document accurately in the EMR (GE Centricity preferred).Monitor and manage medical supply inventory.Administrative (Floater Support):Greet and check-in patients, verify information, and assist with front desk tasks.Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.Handle phone inquiries and route calls appropriately.Assist with billing, insurance verification, and patient coordination as needed.• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front desk areaRequirementsRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical office (OB/GYN experience preferred)Certified Medical Assistant RequiredProficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office SuiteSolid understanding of medical terminologyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentialityCalm and effective under pressure; strong problem-solving skillsMust have reliable transportation and willingness to commute to offices in Fairfax (80%), Manassas, Loudoun, Fredericksburg, Germantown, and Maryland (20%)Flexibility to adjust schedule on short notice to support provider needsBenefitsSalaryRange: $20/hr. to 23/hr. based on experienceWe offer mileage and incentive reimbursement for full-time employees in this position.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible spending and health savings accounts401(k) retirement planPaid time off (vacation, sick, personal) and paid holidaysMileage reimbursementSupplemental insurance: prescription, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Schedule:Monday to Friday8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Full-time (40 hours/week)Work EnvironmentClinical office settingIn-person position
