A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking experienced pharmacists to fill two direct hire positions in the Columbus, OH area. These roles focus on managing narcotic and controlled substance medications within a specialized long-term care setting, offering the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment. Position Details: Location: Grove City, OH (Columbus area) Job Type: Direct Hire Shift Options: • Second Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m., 5x8-hour shifts with every other weekend • Second Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off, Monday-Sunday, 4:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and proper administration Provide recommendations for therapy adjustments to physicians and healthcare facility staff Maintain comprehensive patient medication and medical history records Address and resolve medication-related inquiries Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication concerns Supervise medication preparation ensuring accuracy and compliance Maintain controlled substance registers for legal and inventory purposes Ensure proper security measures for medication storage Participate in on-call duties as needed Qualifications: Current Ohio pharmacist license (required) Demonstrated experience handling controlled drugs, including narcotics Strong clinical evaluation and communication skills Familiarity with pharmacy management systems (Frameworks preferred) Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team This direct hire opportunity is ideal for pharmacists seeking a specialized long-term care role within a growing operation.
