This is a great opportunity for any technicians looking to bolster their skills in molecular testing.SWING SHIFT: TUES - SAT, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AMWe offer:Pay rate depends on license, qualifications, and experience.Medical Technologist: $32-$40 per hour + 10% night shift differentialMedical Lab Technician: $28-$38 per hour + 10% night shift differential2 weeks vacation + 1 week of sick time off per year (plus graduated increases with additional years of service)Employee and Dependent Health InsuranceOptional FSA/DCADental, Vision, Life InsuranceVoluntary Pet Care benefit401(k)Employee Assistance Program (mental health, child & eldercare issues, etc.)Starting at $1,000 Employee Referral Bonus programWellness & Culture Club for company eventsCandidates Must Have:Active license as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory TechnicianAt least 2 years of experience in a CAP/CLIA laboratory is preferredKnowledge of Microbiology techniques is preferredA patient-first, mission-oriented mindsetAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to work an overnight schedule consistently and reliablyDuties:Biological specimen preparation, labeling, preservation or fixation, and processingPerforming moderate to high complexity tests according to established protocolsAssisting in preventative maintenance and troubleshootingPreparation and storage of specimens, reagents, and culture mediaAssisting in the performance of quality control proceduresMaintaining/monitoring TAT for all department assaysAdhering to documentation and record-keeping standardsFollowing the laboratory's Quality Management SystemCollaborate with other team members and leadershipLaboratory maintenance activities, including assisting with inventory, biohazardous waste disposal, sterilization of glassware, and maintaining a neat and organized work areaOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands: This position will require extensive use of a computer (mousing, keyboarding) and may involve extended periods of sitting and/or standing, as well as repetitive motions (pipetting) and visual color discrimination.Safety: Some risk of exposure to chemicals, biological substances, sharps, and/or scientific instruments capable of causing bodily injury if used improperly.
