About the Role As a Dental Hygienist, you will be at the forefront of dental care, ensuring our patients receive top-notch oral hygiene services. Your expertise will contribute to their overall health and well-being while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities * Perform dental prophylactic services and educate patients on maintaining their oral health. * Remove tartar and stains, ensuring every patient leaves with a brighter smile. * Build rapport with patients, making them feel comfortable and cared for. * Use equipment to take x-rays, apply fluoride treatments. * Work closely with dentists and other health professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans. What We're Looking For Knowledge & Skills: * Strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and OSHA standards. * Proficiency in dental office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Qualifications: * Associate's or technical degree in dental hygiene. * 1 to 3 years of related experience as a dental hygienist (or equivalent). * Current State of Illinois Dental Hygiene License. Physical Demands This position requires light physical activity, including the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, and walking. Work Environment You'll work in a clinical setting where you'll encounter patients of all backgrounds. Your role will sometimes involve managing anxious patients, so empathy and patience are key.
