Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for complex sample preparation and analysis, including elemental analysis and continuous flow isotope ratio instrumentation (TC/EA -IRMS, EA-IRMS and dual inlet IRMS) for carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen in conjunction with dating and natural product laboratories, and coordination of samples within CAIS for processing on EA/IRMS. The incumbent assists in the training of personnel and students in instrument operation, troubleshooting problems when they arise, and works with the Lab PI and Lab Supervisor to resolve problems. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Skilled in the preparation and analysis of samples in an analytical chemistry laboratory, specifically for elemental and/or isotopic content. Chemistry laboratory experience, preferred ISO accreditation experience. Physical Demands * Ability to stand for extended periods of time. * Ability to lift 30 - 40 lbs.
