A healthcare facility in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an as-needed Staff Pharmacist with a strong background in inpatient hospital pharmacy. This per diem position provides a dynamic opportunity to contribute to behavioral health care while collaborating closely with clinical teams. The role requires a North Carolina pharmacist license and offers specialized exposure to automated medication systems and interdisciplinary patient care. Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Manage product verification and effective utilization of Omnicell automation technology Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and support pharmacy operations alongside the Director of Pharmacy Support pharmacy technician efforts including medication filling, repackaging, and distribution Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist in North Carolina, required Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy environments Familiarity with Omnicell automation preferred; Pyxis experience accepted Behavioral health pharmacy knowledge highly valued Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting Proactive communication and teamwork skills Schedule: Training: Five days during May 5-15, 7:30am - 4:30pm Coverage: May 16-17 and May 30-31, 7:30am - 2:30pm Future shifts in June and beyond to be determined Regular coverage hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm weekdays; weekends 7:30am - 2:30pm Additional Information: Order entry system: HCS; training provided Dress code: Black or sage green scrubs or business casual attire Collaborative team including a Director of Pharmacy, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in behavioral health pharmacy with flexible per diem scheduling and comprehensive training.
