Job Description Medical Center is looking to add a locum Hospitalist for night coverage starting June 2025! Open dates: (12hr night shifts, 8p-8a, dates subject to change) June 21, 22, 23 July 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24 August 12 - 31 Sept 2 - 8 & 15 - 21 Shift Type: NightsShift Description: Night shift 8p-8a• Board Certified - REQUIRED• VA License - REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS• VA DEA - REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS• ACLS/BLS Certified - REQUIRED (AHA or American Red Cross)• 100% Clean Background - REQUIRED for temporary privileges• Local provider - HIGHLY preferred• SPECIFIC availability must be noted at name clear - REQUIRED; submissions will not be considered if this is not noted.Open dates:• (12hr night shifts, 8p-8a, dates subject to change)• June 21, 22, 23• July 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24• August 12 - 31• Sept 2 - 8 & 15 - 21Job Details:• Schedule: Night shift 8p-8a• Call Schedule: Flexible• Patient Population: Adult• APP Coverage: Daytime only. No overnight APP coverage.• No other Hospitalists present during shift• Average Number of Patients Per Day - ADMISSIONS: 8-12 per shift• Average Number of Patients Per Day - ICU: Closed medical ICU (24 hr Intensivits responsible to admit to med ICU)• Average Number of Patients Per Day - INPATIENT: Total patient census runs 88+ • 7-10 admissions overnight in addition to floor calls• No In-house codes• No rounding; however, nocturnist will be responsible for floor calls. 7 units (2s, 3n, 4s, 4n, 5s. CVT Stepdown, and CVT ICU)• EMR: EPIC• Community Hospital. Not a trauma centerCredentialing timeframe: Temp privs. ~20-30 days (pending provider responsiveness, background, etc.)
