A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with pediatric and emergency care experience in Pawtucket, RI. This 13-week contract position offers valuable exposure to a Level I trauma teaching hospital environment, working in both Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for respiratory care and patient support across adult and pediatric populations. Key Qualifications: Active Respiratory Therapist license in Rhode Island BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred Previous pediatric respiratory therapy experience, specifically in ED and PICU Experience in adult and pediatric ICU settings at a Level I trauma hospital Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team Responsibilities: Provide respiratory therapy assessment, treatment, and management to patients in Pediatric ED, PICU, and adult units Perform ventilator management, airway care, and emergency respiratory interventions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and policies Participate in educational activities and contribute to continuous quality improvement Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (specific days to be finalized during the interview process) Perks: No parking fees for night shifts with convenient onsite parking Flexible dress code allowing scrubs of any color Exposure to a renowned teaching hospital environment with rich pediatric and trauma care experience About the Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage and proximity to urban amenities.
