A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist licensed in Rhode Island to support pediatric and adult patients in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital. This contract role offers the chance to contribute clinical expertise in a fast-paced Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), as well as adult ICU settings. Candidates with pediatric respiratory therapy experience are highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients in the PICU, Pediatric ED, and ICU Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and therapy interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Utilize critical thinking for patient monitoring and emergency interventions Maintain documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards Qualifications and Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Current Rhode Island Respiratory Therapist License Pediatric experience strongly preferred Recent experience in emergency and intensive care settings in a teaching hospital BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (specific days discussed during interview) Location Insight: This role is based in Warwick, Rhode Island, offering access to a vibrant community with a blend of coastal charm and urban amenities.
