This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist with retail pharmacy expertise and a Connecticut pharmacy license to contribute in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role is primarily based in a retail and long-term care (LTC) setting, providing essential pharmaceutical services with potential for temp-to-hire transition. Location: New Britain, CT Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Weekend rotation every 4th week 24 to 30 hours per week, primarily days Responsibilities: Accurately prepare and dispense medications in retail and LTC settings. Utilize pharmacy computer systems such as Liberty (retail) and Frameworks (LTC) for medication management and record-keeping. Provide patient counseling and medication therapy guidance. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in weekend rotation on a scheduled basis. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid Connecticut pharmacy license. Proven retail pharmacy experience required. Experience in long-term care pharmacy is a strong plus. Ability to work effectively within a computerized pharmacy system environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Agreement signing required as part of onboarding.
