The North Florida/ South Georgia VA Healthcare System's Primary Care Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician for our Lake City VA Medical Center. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center. This is an open continuous announcement that will remain open until filled. VHA Physician Total Rewards. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting A summary of the duties is mentioned below but not limited to: * Complete vesting appointments for new patients when access levels dictate it necessary. * Utilize technology (i.e. Telehealth video conferencing) and the use of telephone visits when necessary. * Perform the full range of duties to include but not limited to: Physical exams, ordering laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests. * Practice in accordance with professional standards of care, core values and a commitment of excellence. * Utilize electronic medical records in accordance with North Florida/South Georgia VHS policy and other regulatory bodies. * Participate in staff meetings, educational activities, administrative and other duties assigned.
