Job Title: EEG Technician Location: Syracuse, NY Department: EEG / Neurodiagnostics Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local) Duration: 13 WeeksSchedule:Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)Schedule: 5x8.5 (Every other weekend required)Guaranteed Hours: 42.5 hours per weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to perform neurodiagnostic testing across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves conducting EEG studies for patients of all age groups, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting physicians in diagnosing neurological conditions.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine EEG studies in accordance with ASET guidelinesPrepare patients and apply electrodes for both adult and pediatric populationsRecord, monitor, and analyze EEG waveformsEnter raw data and prepare reports for physician interpretationEdit and manage long-term (24-hour) EEG recordingsMaintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment as neededEnsure proper documentation and logging of all proceduresStock and organize EEG acquisition stationsCommunicate effectively with patients and families to ensure comfort and understandingFollow all hospital and departmental policies and proceduresRequired EducationRelevant certification or degree in Neurodiagnostics or a related field preferredRequired Certifications & LicensureRegistered EEG Technician (required)Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certificationRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum 1 year of EEG experienceStrong knowledge of EEG procedures and waveform analysisExperience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferredStrong computer and data entry skillsExcellent communication and patient care skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyPreferred QualificationsExperience in Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)For more details reach at jknox@ or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
