PROLOGUE JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Residential Specialist (3PM-11PM) General Description:The Residential Specialist implements individual's service plans by providing direct psychiatric rehabilitation services and skills training to individuals recovering from mental illness. The Residential Specialist works with residents in their homes by providing the support to assist them in developing the skills necessary for independence and success. May have to use own vehicle to travel between locations, company vehicles are used to transport residents. FLSA: Non-Exempt Schedule: Full time (3PM-11PM Monday-Thursday, 3PM-9:30PM Friday). This person reports to the Residential Coordinator. Required Education, Knowledge and Skill Abilities to Perform Essential Job Functions:A high school diploma is required and experience in human service delivery is preferred. Ability to work as a part of a team is necessary. A good driving record is also essential. Ability to respect individual choice in the recovery process and a commitment to recovery through the psychiatric rehabilitation process is required. Also, this position requires good verbal communication skills and the understanding to respect the abilities and limitations of consumers. Summary of Essential Functions, Responsibilities and DutiesProvide in-person residential program coverage by working in the residential units facilitating rehabilitation services and skills training.Perform medication monitoring services Assist consumers with implementing Individual Service Plans to reach goalsFacilitate group and individual activitiesProvide transportation using company vehicles to assist consumers in using community resourcesUtilize Electronic Health Record to record services and documentation for billingDocument activities and services in log book to promote communication between shiftsAssist consumers with independent living skillsCommunicate with supervisors and other employees to ensure continuum of serviceEngage in crisis managementUtilize systems for internal communication, including work email and time and attendance systems to clock in and out of every shift worked and verify time on the last day worked of pay cyclePerform other duties as requested by supervisors*Please Note: An offer of employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background check and verification with professional references.
