Job Title: Research Associate ScientistMonday thru Friday 8am-4:30pmThis position is in the Protein Biology R&D, part of the BID organization of Thermo fisher Scientific, located in Rockford, IL. As a Research Associate Scientist you will be performing laboratory experiments for protein preparation reagent development and applications. As a technical resource, you will work closely with the Protein Prep team to develop assays to assess product performance, test prototype products, and make recommendations for improving product concepts. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:• BS/BA/MS in Biochemistry, Biology, or other Biological Science• Laboratory experience preferably includes protein assays, cell culture, protein expression & purification, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, protein sample preparation (protein extraction, chromatography, dialysis, ultrafiltration, centrifugation, etc.), and instrumentation (UV/Vis, plate reader, FPLC)• Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to express thoughts, describe experimental results, and exchange information in a group setting• Well-organized, goal-driven attitude, meets deadlines• Strong attention to detail, ability to thoroughly document results• Precise experimental technique• Quick learner, ability to adapt to different methods and procedures• Ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute ideas in a team atmosphereAdditional Sills: Skills: Category Name Required Importance Experience No items to display.
