American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a PM shift radiology position in Morristown, NJ, requiring ARRT RT(R) and RT(CT) certifications and an active NJ state X-ray license.Job Details• Acute care hospital radiology department, CT scanning unit with 3 dedicated CT rooms (CT 1, 2, and 3),• Performs routine, emergent, and unscheduled CT procedures including Code Grey and trauma protocols,• Assesses patients for contrast tolerance, screens for allergies and medication incompatibilities, and monitors patient condition before and after contrast injections,• Charting performed in Epic,• Monday-Friday PM shift, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM,• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week,• On-call is required,• May be required to float to a sister hospital nearby as needed,Job Requirements• ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required,• Active NJ state X-ray license (NJDEP) required - license required if applicable,• BLS certification required,• High school diploma or GED required,• Completion of an accredited Radiographer Technical training program (school of radiography or college-based radiography program) required,• Experience with venipuncture and power injector protocols required,• Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems required,• Must be able to initiate emergency response in the event of a patient complication,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• Responsibilities include performing and processing CT scans, sending and verifying images in PACS/RIS, and notifying the radiologist of Code Grey cases and any unusual findings,• Point staff duties include triaging procedures, coordinating emergent and unscheduled requests, managing workflow, communicating patient status across departments, and ensuring timely patient transport,• Performs daily maintenance including cleaning the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use, restocking supplies, and maintaining QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications,• Notifies Lead or Coordinator of equipment malfunctions, expired medications, or unusual equipment conditions,• Two professional references are required for consideration,• Epic charting experience is expected
