As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dynamic and compassionate Full Time MRI Technologist to join our team. Job Summary: The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures in an outpatient setting, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with established imaging protocols. This position requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists. Verify patient identification, review exam requisitions, and confirm appropriate imaging protocols. Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Administer contrast agents per physician orders and institutional protocols. Monitor patients for adverse reactions or discomfort during scans. Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information in the PACS/RIS system. Follow all MRI safety policies, including screening of patients, staff, and visitors for contraindications. Regularly inspect equipment for proper function; report any technical issues promptly. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely imaging results. Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current on imaging technology advancements.Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program. Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility required; ARRT (R) preferred. Active state licensure (if applicable). BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered. Knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and equipment operation required.Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required. Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in State of Texas. MRI experience required. Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Flexibility in scheduling
