We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current Florida state respiratory therapist license in good standing.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.Minimum one year of recent experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred; experience with ventilators, mechanical ventilation management, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation required.Experience performing arterial puncture, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy assistance and chest tube management preferred.Proficiency with oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and basic arrhythmia recognition.BLS and ACLS certification required.Ability to operate and perform set-up and self-test on a variety of ventilatory equipment, and to document treatments and charting accurately.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.Assignment DetailsFacility Type: Hospital.Shift Name: Nights.Shift Pattern: Night, 3x12.Duration: 13 week assignment.Number of Open Positions: 1.Location HighlightsPensacola, FL offers coastal and historic attractions within easy reach.
