Job DescriptionDivision/Department: Human Services - Behavioral Health Location: Human Services- As Designated - Onsite Reports To: Behavioral Health Coordinator Probationary Period: 180 days FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried) Classification: Child-Related CA Driver's License: Level 3 - Driver's License is required. Rate of Pay: $69,240.53 to $77,895.59 salary.Responsibilities Provide mental health counseling to clients in the service area. Accept referrals and refer clients to other providers as appropriate. Conduct appropriate outreach activities as needed. Team with Mental Health Case Managers for optimum service to clients. Assist clients with improving independent living skills through therapeutic support and referral to other providers. Administer Client Diagnostic and Functional Assessments as needed and provide results with assigned ARMHS Workers and Mental Health Case Managers. Consult with Clinical Supervisor about diagnosis and issues in therapeutic sessions. Sustain a caseload accounting for 20-25 billable hours each week with a quarterly review of caseload with the department supervisor. Participate in quality assurance measures to meet community needs and measure client satisfaction. Schedule and provide group and/or family counseling to clients in the service area. Review size and nature of caseload with Department Coordinator at least bi-monthly. Conduct in-service training sessions for Human Services staff on topics related to service delivery as needed. Provide community education sessions as requested. Keep accurate client charts according to record keeping policy and procedures. Allow adequate time for record keeping. Complete reports promptly (monthly Reservation Business Committee (RBC) reports, program quarterly reports). Be knowledgeable of in-house and area resources and make referrals as appropriate. Plan and participate in community information/education/recreational events as needed. Appropriate/Professional work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary. Qualifications Valid Driver's License issued in the US is required. Eligibility determined by FDL's insurance company. A Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling with clinical experience is required. Currently fully licensed, tribally licensed, or a graduate working towards Minnesota state licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC. Must be CPR certified; if not currently certified, must become CPR certified within 6 months of hire is required and must maintain CPR certification for duration of employment. Car seat certification is required, if not certified at the time of hire, employee must become certified during the next available training, and must maintain certification for duration of employment. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred. Experience working with Native Americans clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations.
