POSITION SUMMARY: Quality Assurance Nurse will:Collaborate with the directors and staff to identify indicators of quality, safety and performance for data collection and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.Work with the Director to develop dashboards and scorecards to depict internal metrics and benchmark comparisonsIdentify sources of valid and reliable information and metrics to monitor performance and outcome trends.Partner with the Information Services staff to provide actionable and timely data that supports various projects and initiatives (i.e. electronic transfer of data to meet regulatory requirements).Assists in the use of database applications, presentations, creating graphs and dashboard for the department and hospital.Builds audit tool for Quality Assurance and Performance ImprovementResponsible for the concurrent and retrospective Clinical Core Measures process. Including abstraction and submission.Assists in the Organizations Continuous Survey Readiness Activities for CIHQ, TJC and CDPH Investigations.Develops and recommends corrective action plans to be implemented when indicator measurement is below predetermined threshold.Manages the All Scripts EHR system by which quality assurance data is collected, analyzed and reported.Develops and standardizes reports, questionnaires, and conducts comparative studies, data analysis and interpretation.Meet hospital continuing education requirements by enhancing professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.Reports to the Director of Quality.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Must have current CA RN license. Prefer, CPHQ certification.Licensure/Certification: Must have current and valid California State RN license. CPHQ Certification preferred.Experience: One (1) year healthcare-related quality management/performance improvement experience (i.e. chart audits, PI Team Member). OR 2 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
