This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to build a comprehensive neurology program from the ground up while serving the healthcare needs of our community.This is a brand-new position offering unique advantages:Be the founding neurologist and sole provider in our new departmentDevelop and shape the neurology program according to your visionClinic located on the hospital campus for seamless patient care coordinationClinical Responsibilities:As our General Neurologist, you will:Diagnose, treat, and manage a full spectrum of neurological conditions including:Headaches and migrainesSleep disordersMultiple Sclerosis (MS)Epilepsy and seizure disordersStroke and cerebrovascular conditionsMovement disordersNeuropathies and other neurological conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests including:Electromyography (EMG)Electroencephalography (EEG)CT scansMRI imagingOther specialized neurological assessmentsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated patient careProvide consultation services to emergency department and hospitalized patientsCommunity Impact:Currently, patients in the Jefferson City area must travel to Columbia, Missouri, for specialized neurological care.
