Position: Radiology Technologist Location: Fairfield, TX Position Type: Regular, Full Time Key Responsibilities Image Quality: Review X-rays or scans to ensure they're clear for doctors to analyze. Equipment Operation: Use and maintain imaging equipment safely. Patient Care: Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, and monitor their condition during scans. Record-Keeping: Maintain patient records and document care. Safety: Follow radiation safety rules to protect patients and staff. Teamwork: Work with other team members and assist patients with physical needs like dressing or positioning. Skills & Qualities Needed Patient-Friendly: Be kind and supportive to patients, especially when they're anxious. Detail-Oriented: Pay attention to small details to ensure accurate results. Organized: Keep the workspace and procedures well-structured. Quick Decision-Making: Handle unexpected situations confidently. Technical Knowledge: Operate computer systems and imaging equipment efficiently. Qualifications Education: High school diploma and graduation from a 2-year accredited radiology program. Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role. Certifications: Registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), certified by the Texas Medical Board, and BLS (Basic Life Support). Physical Demands Standing for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires good vision, hearing, balance, and touch sensitivity. Work Environment The job is indoors with moderate noise and a safe, clean workspace.
