Position Type: Curriculum/Curriculum SpecialistDate Posted: 4/14/2026Location: Celeste Graves Education Service CenterDate Available: 2026-27 School YearClosing Date: OpenMAGNOLIA ISDPosition: Specialist - State testing/LPAC/Data SpecialistPay Grade: Professional Salary Schedule Wage/Hour Status: ExemptReports to: Chief Academic Officer Calendar: 212 DaysRevised: April 2026 Education/CertificationBachelor's degreeMaster's degree preferredTexas valid teacher certificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Specific knowledge of state assessments and complianceDemonstrate organizational and technology skills, with advanced skills in Excel and data analysisGeneral knowledge of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) processSpecific knowledge of assessment, lesson design, and deliveryGeneral knowledge of professional learning communitiesDetailed knowledge of data disaggregation to drive instructionGeneral knowledge of serving special populations of learnersExcellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsRequired Experience:At least five years of successful teaching experienceExperience with campus testing and the LPAC processExperience in the development, preparation, and presentation of professional development preferredExperience in facilitation of professional learning communities preferredJob Duties:Facilitate the LPAC process for the districtServe as the District Testing Assistant (DTA)Lead the district data disagregation processCollaborate with campus principals on current dataSupport state assessment activities, including such duties as ordering/distribution/collection of secure materials, planning/creating/conducting training to a variety of stakeholders/departments, preparing data downloads, and supporting campus personnel with all state assessment activitiesAssist campus personnel with the training and use of testing-related software programs such as TestHound, College Board (PSAT 8/9), NAEP, and the Cambium platforms - TIDE, TDS, TFAR, Interims, and CRSAssist in student registration, ensuring demographic information and accommodations are accurately reported for testing and accountability purposesServe as a liaison between DAEP, JJAEP, and residential facilities to ensure students receive proper testing access, materials, and support for state assessmentsAssist in coordinating student assessment logistics by identifying students who take an alternate assessment, special administration, or paper assessment to ensure all appropriate materials are accurately ordered and receivedOther duties as assignedAdministrative Support:Attend district-level training and provide campus-level professional development in district initiativesProvide ongoing feedback to campus administration to be used as a means to improve instructional deliveryWork with the content director, content coordinator, and all curriculum department personnel to ensure the vertical alignment of curriculum and integration of other content, areas as neededAssist with the implementation and monitoring of district initiativesAttend department and district meetings/trainings as assigned Personal Skills:The ability to work effectively with adult learnersThe ability to skillfully offer constructive feedback to facilitate changeThe ability to be flexible, open, and willing to implement new ideas in the classroomThe ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities, projects, and tasksThe ability to work and contribute to a teamThe ability to seek resources and solutions to effectively solve problems
