Job Description

Overview We're on a mission to help students reach new heights, and we know that starts with YOU. We support, value, and celebrate our clinicians, while giving you the flexibility to do meaningful work and still have a life outside of it. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This is a perfect opportunity for a therapist looking for flexible hours while making a significant impact. You will assess and treat a wide variety of pediatric diagnoses, including developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, upper extremity impairments, autism, and ADHD, from infancy through young adulthood. You will work closely with our behavior specialists, school staff, and caregivers to ensure a holistic, student-oriented approach to care. Responsibilities Assess and Treat: Evaluate clients and determine individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to help them develop or regain physical and mental functioning. Collaborate: Work with ABA professionals, educators, physicians, and families to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of the therapeutic plan. Empower: Promote maximum independence by designing therapies and activities of daily living tailored to each individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interests. Educate: Design home exercise programs and instruct clients, families, and caregivers on how to utilize assistive equipment and continue progress outside of sessions. Document: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client care records and track progress to implement any necessary treatment adjustments. Advocate: Maintain a safe, effective environment while complying with all federal, state, local, and infection-control regulations. What You Bring (Qualifications) Licensure: Current Indiana State Occupational Therapist license. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent work experience as an OT, specifically with pediatric populations (birth to young adulthood). Education: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Certifications: Certified Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) by the NBCOT or as an Occupational Therapist by the AOTA. Skills: Excellent time-management, stellar communication (oral and written), and a proven ability to build natural rapport with children and collaborative relationships with fellow providers. PRN Compensation & Perks While this is a flexible, as-needed position, we value our PRN staff immensely. Your compensation package includes: Competitive Hourly Rate: Commensurate with your experience, rates from $50-$60 per hour are possible. Ultimate Flexibility: Create a schedule that works for your life. No late-nights, weekends, or holidays are required. Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursed at the current federal mileage rate for travel between your first location of the day and remaining locations. Company Coverage: Fully covered under SBBC's general liability insurance and workman's compensation while providing services. Company Culture: We believe that doing work that matters should also be rewarding and fun. You will experience daily appreciation through our NectarHR points program, keep your energy up with our employee snack cart, and connect with your team at our regular company parties and celebrations. We make sure you feel valued every single day! "I love working at SBBC because I get to see my clients soar to new heights and learn skills every single week.
