Job Description

Utility Pole Inspector Trainee Alamon, Inc. provides installation services to utilities, energy, and communications industries nationwide. This role supports the Utility East department. The position involves learning inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards for utility poles and related equipment. Extensive travel is required. Job Description Undergo training to understand the basics of utility pole inspections, components, maintenance techniques, and safety protocols. Learn and follow inspection procedures to evaluate the condition of utility poles, checking structural integrity, deterioration, pest infestation, and damage from weather or external factors. Assist in identifying potential issues and contribute to developing maintenance plans. Complete inspection records, reports, and adhere to codes and regulations. Collect field data and perform daily and weekly reporting activities. Maintain records of tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment. Adhere to company and governmental safety regulations. Perform other job"‘related duties as assigned. Minimum Position Qualifications Current/valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI/DWIs within the past 5 years. Pass criminal background check and drug test. Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally. Able to work outdoors in physically demanding, all"‘weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 40 lbs, and hiking various terrain. Demonstrate leadership abilities and responsibility for safe operations and maintenance of vehicle, equipment, and tools. Professional attitude representing Alamon positively to clients and communities. Work Environment Outdoors year"‘round, all weather, varying terrain; may work for long periods in hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy conditions. Exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, wet surfaces, and loud noises possible. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per company standards and regulations. Physical Demands Arduous position requiring outdoor work in varied weather and elements. Hiking, standing for long periods, digging, climbing, and working with shovels and tamping bars. Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Travel Requirements Full"‘time traveling position; on the road for upwards of 5 weeks at a time, potentially longer.
