Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Quality Engineer II to lead quality assurance efforts, design and implement test strategies, deliver and maintain test automation, and ensure reliability and performance of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross"‘functional teams to drive quality initiatives and contribute to the delivery of exceptional software solutions. Duties & Responsibilities Create detailed, comprehensive, and well"‘structured test plans and automated test cases to ensure quality and reliability of software products. Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open"‘source tools. Maintain version control of QA automation code and implement best practices with code quality; provide product team overviews on overall product and software quality. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs. Perform functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing using automation techniques. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency. Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, identify acceptance criteria, and prioritize testing efforts. Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug"‘tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of findings. Liaise with internal teams (e.g., engineers and product owners) to identify system requirements and resolve issues promptly. Participate in story grooming, design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on quality"‘related matters and ensure alignment with quality standards. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand"‘Up, Story Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, PI Planning, etc. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications 3"‘5 years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on automated testing strategies, leading testing efforts, and collaborating with team members. Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines. Excellent analytical and problem"‘solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolutions collaboratively. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban. Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross"‘functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience with Selenium, Playwright, XML, JavaScript, .NET framework, T"‘SQL, jQuery, JSON, and the Salesforce Platform is a plus. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and familiarity with performance testing methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and the SDLC. Proven experience preparing, presenting, and maintaining required SDLC documentation and artifacts. QA testing certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Test Engineer (CSTE), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) are a plus. Strong automation skills: Proficient in developing automated tests using open"‘source tools (Selenium, Playwright, etc.) and comfortable coding in Java, C#, Python, or similar. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying technical information and collaborating with cross"‘functional teams. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and technologies while maintaining high quality and productivity. Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to testing and problem"‘solving, with a keen eye for small defects and inconsistencies. Documentation: Proficient in creating clear, concise documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to achieve common goals. Continuous improvement: Commitment to learning and improvement, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in software quality assurance. Pay Range $78,000 - $102,000 per year Compensation & Benefits The compensation for this position will vary depending on location, skills, and experience and may include incentive and bonus opportunities.
